Do Not Sell My Info
Your right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and how OpenWorld handles it.
Effective September 24, 2026.
Your right to opt out
Residents of California have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, to direct a business not to sell their personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Residents of a growing number of other U.S. states have similar rights under their own privacy laws. Those states include Texas and Nebraska, whose statutes apply without any minimum threshold of revenue or number of consumers.
What OpenWorld does
OpenWorld does not sell personal information, and it does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months. The Site carries no advertising cookies or tracking pixels for that purpose. Nor do we use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose that would give rise to a right to limit that use, and we do not engage in profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Because there is no sale or sharing to opt out of, no action is needed to exercise this right. If our practices ever change, we will update this page, revise our Privacy Policy, and provide a working opt-out mechanism before any sale or sharing begins.
We also recognise and honour the Global Privacy Control browser signal. Where your browser sends that signal we treat it as a valid opt-out request for that browser and device, without requiring any further action from you.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Submitting a request
You can still record your preference or exercise your other privacy rights, including the rights to know, delete, and correct personal information, by emailing connect@openworld.dev with the subject line “Privacy request”. Tell us which right you are exercising and the email address you have used with us. You may also ask for a portable copy of personal information you have provided to us.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request to know, delete, or correct. An authorised agent may submit a request on your behalf if they provide written permission from you. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.
We will respond within 45 days of receiving a verifiable request. Where reasonably necessary we may extend that period once by a further 45 days, and we will tell you within the first 45 days if we do.
If we decline your request
You may appeal any decision to decline a request by replying to our response, or by emailing connect@openworld.dev with the subject line “Privacy appeal”. We will review the appeal and respond in writing, with our reasons, within the period allowed by the law of your state. If we deny the appeal we will provide you with a method of contacting your state attorney general.
Other rights and details
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how long we keep it, and sets out the rights available to residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and U.S. states with privacy laws. Questions about this page can be sent to connect@openworld.dev.
